p-tert-butylphenol has antioxidant properties and can be used as stabilizer for rubber, soap, chlorinated hydrocarbons and digested fibers. UV absorber, anti-cracking agent for pesticide, rubber and paint. For example, it is used as stabilizer for polycarbon resin, tert-butyl phenolic resin, epoxy resin, polyvinyl chloride, styrene. In addition, it is the raw material for the manufacture of pharmaceutical insect repellents, pesticide acaricide Clothianidin, spices, plant protection agents.
